Baby Bison on the Range
Visit Silver Plume, CO, in the Rockies, population 134 and they like it that way
Black llama high-stepping through the green grass, emu on a farm, and a cloud of locusts on the plain, kamikazi-ing on our windshield, just like on the ol' prairie!
Utah farms and ranches snoozing in the sun next to the meandering river
Dervishes, tiny tornados under a stormy sky
Three baby birds in a too-low-for-safety nest, motionlessly awaiting the return of their parents while we peered at them in their birch tree
Picturesquely weathered wooden homes, shacks, barns, and outbuildings, going-going-gone to varying states of decrepitude and decay
Rocky mountains soaring directly vertical from the highway, and yes, very rocky! Teeny patches of snow still holding out at 9,000 feet
Vail, CO (yawn. But 66 wanted to check out the farmers market. They had a pie lady named Maggie who called her wares "MagPie")
Cool animals!
